Labor Support
Labor Support includes the following (see contract for specifics and details):
Emotional and educational support via email/text/phone throughout pregnancy and postpartum.
Access to Linsay’s personal library of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum books for borrowing throughout pregnancy (to be borrowed at prenatal visit and returned at postpartum visit)
One 2-hour virtual prenatal call to discuss labor and birth preferences, think through various birth scenarios, and review comfort and pain management techniques, etc.
One 2-hour in-person prenatal session at client’s home during the third trimester to set intentions for the birth experience.

On-call 24/7 between weeks 38-42 of pregnancy to ensure ability to be present during labor and birth
Prior to 38 weeks of pregnancy, Linsay will make a good faith effort to attend the labor and birth
Continuous support during labor and birth:
Help facilitate, to the best of my ability, client’s birth vision as outlined within their birth plan, including, but not limited to, movement/positioning, hands-on comfort and pain management techniques, environmental comfort, informational support, and emotional support to clients.
Help clients navigate conversations with care providers so that they can make informed care decisions.
Take photos during or after delivery, at client’s request.
In the event of a cesarean birth:
Linsay will attend the birth if allowed by hospital and requested by clients and will provide emotional and informational support throughout to client as is appropriate
If Linsay is not allowed into the OR, Linsay will wait in recovery and will provide postpartum support
Postpartum support for 2 hours post birth
One postpartum visit (2 hours) at client’s home within the first two weeks after delivery to debrief the birth experience and check in on how things are going.
